The Brockton Retirement Board, voted to accept Local Option MGL c. 32 s 103 j, and the Brockton City Councilors supported that vote. Therefore, effective on your Pension check for end of month July 2021, if you are eligible for the Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) this will be based on the first $13,000 of your retirement allowance. In July of 2022, this threshold will increase by $1,000 and the COLA will be applied to the first $14,000 of your retirement allowance.
